the start of the journey- Steamboat springs Colorado

The start of our journey across country started with a week in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We got to spend the whole week with mom and dad and then met up with Ted's family on Sunday and continued on our way on Monday. The week was great. Steamboat Springs reminded me a lot of Sun Valley, it was just quite a bit larger, though. The atmosphere was a lot the same. The time we spent there was so much fun. It was hard as the week came to end because I knew it meant saying good-bye to my best friends, but I am so glad for that last week.

3 mile hike (one way) up to Rabbit Ear Rocks,
Ted carried Jack on his shoulders almost the whole way.

Going up to slide down the Alpine Slide, even jack got to enjoy it!
